This page explains how the IPAD Indonesian Prehistoric Archaeology Database (“IPAD”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies on this website. After this first mention we usually say “IPAD”.
Cookies are small files saved on your phone, tablet, or computer when you visit a website. They save some information about you when you use the website. They do not usually identify you directly, just the device you use.
About cookies
We use cookies so that this website can function, for example:
- enabling a service to recognise your device so you do not have to give the same information several times during a task
- recognising that you may already have given a username and password, so you do not need to do it for every page that needs those details
- protecting forms and requests from being misused by other websites
This page describes cookies. It is not a cookie-consent product and it does not load any third-party cookie control widget.
Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies are required for this site to function. They support security, session management, network operation, and accessibility. We do not ask extra permission to use those essential cookies.
How to manage cookies on your computer
You can manage these small files yourself using your web browser settings. Use the help function in your browser to find out more about managing your cookie settings.
Restricting cookies may affect the functionality of this website. In particular, you may not be able to sign in or complete forms if you block cookies that the site needs in order to run.
Cookies this site uses
This site is an Arches application. It sets first-party cookies that are needed to run the service. We do not currently set analytics or marketing cookies, and we do not currently use Google Analytics on this site.

| django_language | Remembers a language preference if the language switcher is used | As configured; often until you clear cookies |
